About the game (IGN.com)GameCube sequel to the unique 2.5D role-playing game for N64. Known as Paper Mario RPG in Japan (the original was called Mario Story), Paper Mario 2 combines turn-based battles with action elements. You select commands from a command ring atop your characters' heads, such as jumping or swinging a hammer, then have to time yourself just right to defend or pull off maximum damage. Throughout their adventure, Mario and friends find help in a few items and places. You can heal your party at an inn and purchase items at a shop, collect coins by defeating enemies, and buy new special abilities in a badge shop. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door also features a lot of different mini games, such as a quiz show, a lottery, or the ability to control Bowser in a sides-crolling action sequence.Emulation Status & SpeedIssues:. There are a few little graphical bugs, for instance the last screenshot I tookEmulation Speed.
As it's not that demanding, it runs at full speed (Rig in Signature)Additional InformationNothing to mention here. As I said, a few graphical glitches but that's it.Very playable at wonderful speed.Screenshots. Fence won't work even in latest version. You need to use 2785 or another build I might be unaware of. At least it works there, even though it might give errors at first (but doesn't crash).EDIT: Yep.
There's HUGE problems with sound in this game. Whenever certain 'secret' appears in screen (meaning this time taking fence off or pressing switch to reveal secret staircase in sewers), it seems to fail finding correct sound for it, thus hanging the game. Also, after special moves-tutorial and then trying to leave his house - crash. Also related to sound since I got past it by turning sound off.Since audio emulation is, what it is currently, no can do about crashes/hangs.
